18th May 2018 – CSR Networking Lunch 

Enniscorthy & District Chamber is delighted to offer SMEs with an interest in Corporate Social Responsibility the opportunity to engage with some of Ireland’s leading CSR practitioners.

The event was held in the Kilcannon Garden Centre Restaurant on the Old Dublin Road.

The speakers for the CSR lunch talk were

  • Dr Annmaire Ryan from University of Limerick and member of the DBEI National CSR Stakeholders Forum
  • Margaret Murphy,  a Resource Efficiency Officer from the Southern Region Waste Management Office
  • Germaine Noonan from Business in the Community

The event was successful and the speakers talks were well received.

4th May 2018 – Annual Golf Classic

The Annual Golf Classic was held on Friday 4th May 2018 in Enniscorthy Golf Club. The weather was incredible, the teams were motivated and the prizes were hard fought for.

We would like to Congratulate all of the teams for their brilliant effort, we hope everyone had an enjoyable days golfing and a fun and relaxing evening at the dinner and prize giving with drinks sponsored bv Jackford Spirits and Poachers Premium Tonic which really went well together.

7th March 2018 – International Women’s Day, “My Success Story” – beyond wealth and Power

Enniscorthy Chamber teamed up with Soroptimist International Wexford, Wexford LEO and Wexford County Council to organize an event where four women told their Success Story. All of  the stories were different and inspiring.

The event was facilitated by TV3 News Reporter Zara King.

Chamber CEO Catriona Murphy says “I felt really proud of the talent and success we have beyond wealth and power within county Wexford. Our message today was about empowering all people, to empower women, and for each of us to have a day that matters.”

24th February 2018 – Engineer’s Week with company Taoglas

 

 

 

 

 

 

Taoglas offered a company tour to the Enniscorthy students, pupils, its parents and teachers to explore the exciting world of engineering as well as highlighting the diverse career opportunities engineering offers. The functioning of the company and how engineering is an exciting path the take was explained to the students.

This B2B networking session was with Teri Morris from Slingshot60,  she presented the County Wexford online competition for businesses seeking to transform their company and grow

18th January 2018 – Data Protection Training Course

The Chamber hosted the General Data Protection course organized by Wexford Chamber. 

The course was given by Wexford Skillsnet, it informed about the upcoming European Laws. These laws provide a single, data privacy law for the European Union. The EU GDPR aims to prevent the loss of personal data by improving data security for all individuals living in EU member states. Irish businesses must comply with the law before May 2018

22nd November 2017 – The Happy Pear Cooking Demo

                                            

During the event David and Stephen did a cooking demonstration and shared their passion for healthy, wholesome food and their journey to a happier, healthier lifestyle.

Identical twins David & Stephen Flynn really are proof that good things come in pears.

21st September 2017 – Christmas Festival Fundraiser, a Night at the Dogs

Enniscorthy & District in conjunction with the Enniscorthy Business Association hosted the annual Christmas Festival Fundraiser Event in the Enniscorthy Dog Track. It was a great night!

6th September 2017 –  AIB Wake Up Wednesday

Entertaining session with Linda Thorpe of Mental Health Ireland as our guest speaker. The topic presented by Linda was Mental Health and Wellbeing

5th July 2017 – Maree Lyng’s election as Chamber President

One of Enniscorthy’s most well-known business figures, AIB Branch manger Maree was elected as President of Enniscorthy & District Chamber Wednesday July 5th 

Her vision for Enniscorthy & District Chamber of Commerce is to promote and improve the business environment, stimulate a vibrant local economy, and produce a co-operative effort to enhance the overall quality of life in the area. Herself and the Chamber share a positive outlook for the coming two years and plan to build on the success of 2016, where our membership doubled in size in the past twelve months.

Monday 27th March 2017 – Enniscorthy & District Chamber Offices Official Opening 

The new visible offices for the Enniscorthy and District Chamber of Commerce in Portsmouth House, Templeshannon have been officially opened by Minister Paul Kehoe.

The building was made possible by the 1994 Urban Renewal Scheme, which was taken up by Enniscorthy entrepreneurs. Owner Michael Bennett, Bennett Tarmacadam Ltd, made the property available to Enniscorthy Chamber, who has been consistent with his repeated generosity to the Chamber and his commitment to every project that arises.

1st February 2017 – Wake up Wednesday

                                                                                         

All our local entrepreneurs were very chirpy at 7.30 this morning when they attended the latest in Enniscorthy Chamber’s brilliant new initiative for local businesses – Wake Up Wednesdays. This morning’s session was titled ‘Positive Planning’ and was delivered by the enthusiastic Business & Tourism Consultant Mags Boland Murphy.

Well done to Enniscorthy Chamber who hosted a most enjoyable event at Riverside Park Hotel when the Happy Pear David and Stephen Flynn treated the large audience of over 300 to a most entertaining alternative Christmas cookery demo.
