The continuing presence of dead pigeons in a town centre shop window is causing considerable concern to members of the Chamber. The Chamber secured advertising space in the premises concerned from the previous tenant of the property but other than that has no involvement whatsoever with the property.
Numerous complaints have been received in the Chamber concerning the plight of the pigeons and every effort has been made by Chamber personnel to solve the problem. We have been in touch with the ISPCA, the Gardai, the Municipal Authority, the property’s owner to mention but a few and all to no avail.
We will continue to make representations in the hope of finding a solution but as nobody appears to know who is in charge of the property or who the key holder might be, finding a solution might prove more difficult than first thought.
