WWETB Training Courses

At Waterford Wexford Training Services we offer a variety of training courses across the South East of Ireland.  Training courses are delivered in our purpose built training centres by our experienced team of staff, who provide the very highest standard of training under the national government Department of Education and Skills brand ‘ETB’, The Education and Training Board.

The courses we offer are suitable for jobseekers, people entering the workforce for the first time, early school leavers, people with disabilities, those wishing to change careers and are looking to refresh their knowledge or gain new skills. 248335 –  Manual & Computerised Payroll and Bookkeeping 

The aim of this programme is to equip the learner with the knowledge, skills and competence to operate and maintain accurate payroll systems and bookkeeping records, using both manual and computerised systems, for an organisation, working under general direction and supervision.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Applicants should have achieved a minimum of a QQI Level 4 Major Award or its equivalent.
  • Aptitude: Good numerical and communication skills are essential, including verbal and written command of the English language.
  • Previous Experience: N/A

This course has been designed in order to provide business with personnel who are skilled in welding and fabrication.

The aim of the course is to provide the trainees with the skills and related knowledge in fabrication – basic skills, manual metal arc welding, oxy-acetylene welding, MIG welding and to develop their attitudes, personal effectiveness and job seeking skills which will enable them to obtain employment as welders/fabricators.

The aim of this program is to provide long-term unemployed people with the opportunity to develop the skills, knowledge and attitudes which will enable them to obtain employment as Delivery Drivers in the Transport Industry.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be in possession of an Irish Provisional Learner Permit Class B for a minimum period of three months prior to commencement of the course.
  • Education: Statutory School Leaving Age
  • Aptitude: A good standard of written and spoken English is essential in order to successfully complete this course and the associated assessments. The ability to correctly interpret and respond to written English instruction is essential for both the assessment and tuition elements of the programme.
  • Previous Experience: N/A
